Our Services Flu Test

Influenza, more often referred to as the flu, is a common viral respiratory infection that causes illnesses ranging from mild to severe and can sometimes be fatal. This virus tends to be seasonal, usually beginning in late fall and disappearing in early spring. A flu test detects the virus in a sample of respiratory secretions by using a nose swab.

EBO MD uses a flu test when the following signs and symptoms occur:

  • Headache
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Muscle pains
  • Exhaustion
  • Stuffy nose
  • Sore throat
  • Cough

Diagnostic testing, such as an influenza test, gathers information critical to correct diagnosis and the monitoring of conditions that can drastically affect your life. The flu test is not included in your membership and does require an additional fee.
